A message from the Coopersville Jaycee President
On the way back from L.O.T.S. this weekend, our Treasurer Danielle Snow commented on not getting information fast enough about events, other goings on in the Jaycee world, etc… While I try to get you the information in the newsletter, and at meetings, that’s only twice a month. With the new E-Blast, I will try and get one out weekly on Monday, or twice a month. Depends on what the board has to share.
I would love to also know what you think of the E-Blast. If you have any suggestions, tips, hints, etc... please let me know.
Leadership Academy
I will be leaving early Thursday morning for the Leadership Academy in Tulsa Oklahoma. If we are able to, I would love to attend the GMM Thursday night in my hotel room. The best way that I can think to do this would be to use Skype. We would need someone with a laptop, a microphone, and Skype installed on their computer. If you are able to do this, please contact me so we can get it setup.
Brochures
Brochures are in and are avalible for those who would like to take some to hand out. Banda will have some of them at the next GMM, and we will continue to have them at our GMM's from this point on if you need more.
Paintball
Don't forget about the Paintball Social on January 30th at 3pm! Cost is $30 and covers your field play, air, gun, mask, and 500 rounds of paint. Our chapter will also be buying 6,000 more rounds of paint for anyone to use. Some of us will be going out after we play and encourage you to come with us. Location is still TBD.
Please bring someone with you! Remember, you get points for brining a non-Jaycee member between 21-39 with you! Just because they are not 21-29 does not mean they are not welcome. However, TCP Paintball's insurance will not allow anyone under 10 to play.

Community Survey
We have a new Community Survey that will be going out shortly. We plan on having a copy in the 'Selling the Jaycees' booklet that we will be handing out with a self addressed stamped envelop, and putting a PR out for in in the local papers pointing to the online version.
We request that you take a look at it, and let us know if you would like to add/change anything before it goes live.
Year End Convention
The Year End Convention this year is in Travers City. Some of our board members are thinking about going as there are some trainings there that we should take. Its currently $25 for basic (no food). We are thinking of going up only on Saturday, this would eliminate the hotel, but would be a 6 hour drive there and back (3 each way). If we do this, we need to know who wants to go so we can work out the carpooling and how long we would stay for (aka the parties and the WOO). Also, if you let me know you want to go, the MI Jaycee president said she would knock off $10 for each NEW person going to convention!
